Niko's claypot mushroom rice

Not even better than the last one...but he guarantee that the next one sure be better...he knew the mistakes already.

Couple run @eastcoast,on 28th April 2009

Niko and I joined the couple run, that my colleagues recommended to me. Finally she didn't go...then Niko made a payment already.

It's been 3 months i didn't go running. Then this race was 9km run. OMG...luckily I still can go home.

Morning we took taxi to eastcoast...and on the way to ECP at the outram junction, we saw an accident. What a bad start!!!


The run started at 7.30 which was quite late.

On the 4km, I ran out of energy. Some more my right tight was pain.

But then we kept running...till we could see the finish gate. That time, we decided to run faster and took over few couples. Our time was 1 hour, 15 minutes. I had finished it. Innitially I didn't think I could.

For the goody bag, each couple only got one bag. Inside were 1 menshealth magazine, 1 simply her magazine, 1 young parents magazine, 3 travel bottle lanvin perfume, 2 kose whitening masks, 2 sachets vichy sunblock, 3 small tubes biotherm white detox, 2 small bottles asience shampoo and conditioner, 1 set bausch&Lomb contactlens care, 3 sachets loreal revitalift, 3 sachets loreal UV perfect, 2 sachets maybeline foundation, 3 sachets estee lauder pore minimizer, 3 sachets granier wrinkle lift, 3 small tubes lancaster infinite white, 1 bottle clear shampoo men, 1 bottle 100plus, 2 bottles mineral water, 2 couple t-shirt.

We celebrated it with eating Ajisen Ramen at Taka. Innitially we went to Ken Ramen, but it still closed. Then we knew that they will only open on 12.00.

Breakfast @IKEA, Alexandra Road

I had tried the Tampines sweedish meatballs but not nice. But almost all of my friends said nice.

So this time I got chance to try it at Alexandra.

Then it was different. The one at tampines was not so salty. But alexandra's one was nicer.
I also took seafood salad. I didn't see there were cockles below the prawns.

Celebrate nothing at Sushi tei, Paragon

We had nothing to celebrate. It just that I wanted to have nice dinner. Then I preferred Japanese food, cause it's raw, not fried.

But eventually we ordered deep fried salmon with cream sauce...so sinful. And salmon sashimi, chuka wakame, katsudon, tobbiko sushi. Niko ordered salted grilled mackerel because he failed to make it few weeks ago.

Hokian Prawn Noodle @Tiongbahru Market,first stall

Initially I didn't like to eat this one...Till Niko bought one. Since that time, I began to like it.
Then I realized that it is nice.

Ramen Santuoka @Central

We have plan to eat here, but always cancel cause Niko need to work OT.

Then this friday I decided to go alone but when I ask my housemate whether want to go eat ramen, she wanted also.

So we queued for 15 minutes to get seats on 1 side table facing clark quay river. Then I ordered the choice pork and miso ramen. The choice pork came separately with the ramen.


When the ramen came, miso were smelled very strong. And I like the taste also.

Then the best part was the pork...the meat was very2 tender...don't know what they had done with the pork. The meat was a bit salty but when I ate with the ramen, It became very nice, not so salty.

Sure I will go back to have a nice pork and ramen here. And when we went out from the restaurant, the queue was even longer than before.

The choice pork ramen costs $19.50 but after including GST & service charge become $23.00.

Rojak@ Tiongbahru Market

I remember I tried Singapore Rojak at Bedok and I didn't like it at all.

After I tried this one, I think I was trying the wrong food stall.

This rojak is very good. They baked the yu tiaw, taufu and the dried sotong till crispy. And inside the taufu, they put few slices of cucumber.

Macaroni & Cheese from Kraft

I was so excited when we wanted to open and cook this instant macaroni. But when I was done and when I tasted it...I had to suffer finishing it till the last piece.
I will never buy this product... I even can make better than this.

Ayam Penyet @ Bedok Corner

The best of ayam penyet is still ayam penyet RIA. But anyway...this one is cheap...only $4.00, can not be compared with Ria which is almost double in price.

Bday gift from Grace

I got a nice glittery top from grace, my house mate. And she gave a black bracelet to wear together with the top. Nice, I'll wear them at dinner party.

ClubMed Trip, Cerating Malaysia

For those who had already been confirmed, can go to ClubMed.
We went off from Singapore early morning at 6.15am and we had 7 hours trip by bus. We arrived on 1.30pm, just nice for checking in.
I didn't do to many things there...I did archery...eat...sleep...because I don't like beach. I don't like to be tanned.
The food there were a lot. Everyday you can eat, from breakfast, late breakfast, lunch, latelunch and dinner.

On the way back to Singapore, we stopped at one restaurant. Then the foods were fantastic...the best food i have ever had, specially the pork ribs.
The tour guide ordered for us...he ordered:
1. Fried kwetiaw
2. Butter prawn
3. Steamed and fried fish
4. Lotus root
5. Pork ribs
6. Chili crab
7. Black pepper crab


Listy and I shared a huge glass of honeydew pearl.

After dinner, our bus broke down. there was smoke coming out from our aircon. Then we squeezed to interior bus. 1 seat was for 2 persons.

We reached Singapore safely on 11.00pm.

Lunch with Boss

This event was arranged to celebrate Chinese New Year in our department.
So we went to a Hotel (I forget the name) at the eastcoast.
Overall the foods were ok but not fantastic and I was half full.

We went to had a Yu sheng at Marina Square last chinese new year. I forgot to upload the picture...

Niko's Salt Grilled Mackarel

Niko try to make Salt Grilled Mackarel that turned in to any how cooked fish...Soo uneatable.
But eventually we finished the whole fish cause it's not good to throw away food.
After eating this...my mouth was extremely fishy.

I have to pass the test !!!

I registered for driving license conversion yesterday. I will take the test on 15th April 2009. Then I bought the theory test book at Kinokuniya Takashimaya at the same day.
I'll study and try to remember every thing in the book. I HAVE TO pass the test...!!!!

Beef Roasted Sandwich @Coffee Club

We went to Orchard yesterday night to meet my Uni-friends. Actually I brought along my Taka voucher from Ronald&Adeline Benny. I was thinking to buy something if there's something good. But I was also considering not to buy anything at the moment cause by end of May, we will be moving to somewhere else.

When we were at Taka, I could not concentrate on the things there. I felt dizzy...Then we decide to sit at CoffeeClub at Paragon.

Niko ordered beef roasted sandwich. I thought that he won't be eating any thing cause before we went out, we just had our early dinner. Niko's pasta..agaiiiiiiiinnnn!!!!!

The mushroom soup was fantastic..they chopped\ the mushroom till you can not see it. It blend together with the soup. But you can still taste the mushroom.

I don't have any comment on the sandwich, cause I only ate for 2 bites.. :)

Grilled Fish @ Western Food at ITE College East

The fish is tasteless, that's why I must put the gravy. The price is cheap only $2.50 for fish only. Add $0.50 for the rice.

Back to the Ex-face cream

Initially I used to use this cream for my face. But considering the price...I used few other products on my face for a couple of months. But they couldn't make it.

So i am back to this product. 1 bowl can last for 2-3 months.

Niko's New Toy

Yesterday night Niko brought back a toy..."google phone"...finally he got it free. I was thinking want to give it as his bday present this year. But I don't think I will need to do it.

Dancing Plant@Hortpark

I visited Hortpark again few weeks back to have a morning walk with my friend and my housemate.
I saw there was a plant called Dancing Plant. It can react on music. The young leaves will move slowly to the way where the music is coming. When we tried to play music with our handphones, It did.

Menonk, Veli, Keker and Ipan gave me a huge shoulder bag from Charles and Keith with a crocodile texture leather. I am still thinking where I should wear the bag to.

Rainbow after work

I saw rainbow while I was walking to the bustop after work. A very big rainbow scratched the sky after raining. Long time never see this.

I was so excited to order this. Hoped it would be very good.
When It came, I was dissapointed cause It was fishy.

Cantonese Noodle @Expo

I ordered Beef braised Noodle. It was nice..the beef so tender. At least not dissapointed. $12.00 with a cup of drink.

My 1st wedding anniversary, 1st March 2009

I had planned for going out dinner on this day. In fact that day was raining, but nothing could stop me from celebrating my anniversary.
It's really hard to find taxi when It's raining. Normally infront of our block can find taxi easily.

We went to Hog's Breath Cafe at Chjimes. I ordered beef steak with mushroom gravy. Niko ordered the black pepper one.


Eventually, It was not enough for me to eat one piece of 200grams beef steak...I had been craving for beef steak or lamb chop the days after. I should have ordered the ausi cut which is 300 grams.

Niko bought me a bucket of Lily...which I don't like...I think cause It's cheaper than rose.

We continued with waffle ice cream in Ben and Jerry. Very very sinful dessert.

My 27th Bday, 26th February 2009

Actually I wanted to take 1 day leave on my bday. But I only had 5 days left.

Niko gave the bday present in advance on 24th Feb.

Then I got a pair of Nike running costume from the studio and a cute card with a 3D paper dinosaur.


Why dino? They said because I eat like dinosaur, never feel full. They gave the present on 6pm...and I tried the costume on the spot. After that we took picture together. 1st was the normal face...2nd was ugly face.



Then I went bugis for a dinner with adeline,benny,ronald,winson and Niko. We ate the curry fish head restaurant at bugis.
After finishing the food, they sang "happy bday" which I said "sttt!!! don't sing!!!"
But they sang louder...


We didn't go home that day cause Niko had a promotion voucher at IBIS bencoolen. He paid $10 for 1 night there (without breakfast). Then room was very small and the bathroom also.
