Farewell Lunch at Lighthouse, Lavender

We had our farewell lunch at Lavender. We were about to move to Hougang. :D

For lunch, they have semi buffet lunch for reasonable price. You can eat salad, soup and the dessert as buffet and the main course will be ala carte.

The salad was nice.

Niko placed the same order as mine. I told the waiter that I wanted sirloin steak with medium well. Then he also ordered the same and asked me to change my order.

Our steak were served differently from what we had ordered. Niko's steak supposed to be medium rare. And my one supposed to be medium well. then Niko had his steak medium well and i had it well done.

I think we don't mind to be regular customer there.

For two person, we spent $35.00

Tintin in Congo

When we were going around at Heartland Mall at Kovan, I found this book.

Tintin in Congo has never been published in Indonesia. It has a red seal that this book is a collector edition to complete the whole series of tintin adventure. Actually It is.

With this book, I finally has completed my tintin series.

But after reading this, then I know why this book has never been published. I think this book is the first book that Herge had written. And the story line is not as interesting as other series. Everything that happened to Tintin was really coincidental. That makes the story become rubbish.

In order to complete the collection, publisher published this book as collector edition.

Fish and Co, Mushroom salad

I think the coffee club's salad is still better with the crispy cheese at the bottom.

The squid deep fried was very very nice. :D

Caesar Salad @ Coffee Club

I tried to find my Caesar Salad with terriyaki chicken on their menu, but it was not there.

They had changed the terriyaki chicken with garlic chicken.

It's nicer with terriyaki chicken though.

I just knew it on last thursday that there is a flower tree in between vivocity and harbour front mall.

Fish and Chip @ hougang ave 3

We were very tired after moving house and we got hungry.

The quantity of this fish and chip was making me happy. But after I ate this, the fish was very fishy.

Burger King Crispy Bacon

Long time I never eat BK because of I didn't want to get fatter.

Then it was the time to release my belt. :D

I like the bacon. It was very crispy. The one that made it more delicious was I was eating with Niko. He is much fatter than last year. He is very chubby.

Lighthouse, Lavender

While Niko came back to singapore for few hours (transit), we had our dinner together at this restaurant.

We always pass by this place since we stay at Lavender, but we didn't have chance to eat there.

The food was nice with a reasonable price.

My rosemary chicken (half) served with mashed potato and vege is $14.00

Then Niko ordered the set menu for $25.00. He got potato cream soup, sirloin steak, assorted cut fruits and orange juice.

I'll go back again this weekend to have my lunch alone. :(

Beef Soup Noodle @ Thai Restorant

The taste was not like what I expected. It's only $6.60. It's consider cheap for a restaurant.

Pempek @ Ojolali, Lucky Plaza

One thing I need to say...not so nice and it's damned expensive. The service was not so good also. Seeing the picture above, don't you thing old chang kee will be cheaper? I paid for $7.00 for 1 plate of pempek. I really don't want to recommend this place to my other friend. I think Ayam Penyet Ria is still better and worth of money.

They served my pempek after my husband had finished his food. After I reminded the staff then my pempek came. I don't know whether this occasion you call it dinner together. Because Niko enjoyed his food while I was waiting for my food. Then I was eating when he had done.

Beef Kebab@Morrocan Cafe, Arab Street

This is the best beef kebab. I really like to eat here, but the service is not so good.
We need to always ask for our remaining order. They keep forgetting our order.
But from the latest visit yesterday, they has improved compare to last time.

From far away, I saw there were still fer empty tables. We were walking toward these empty tables. I stoned for a while. Then I realized... while Niko almost sat on to those empty tables.

Now their neighbor had opened a Indian style cafe. The waiters are also wearing the same shirt. It just that the indian one without collar. Niko almost trapped and sat on to their table. There's no obvious border in between this two restaurant. Once you sit on to the Indian one, that's it man!

1101 @ Shokudo, Bugis

I remember the number of this menu, 1101, for oglio mushroom pasta. No meat at all in this pasta, but the taste is good. Even better than the one with meat.

Thai Fried Rice @ Thai Place, Bedok

The fried rice was nice. The slice beef was also tender. I will come back again for other menu, specially tom yam soup.

Beef Noodle @ Bedok 85 Market

Normally I go here to enjoy the pork porridge with century egg.

But this time, no body helped me order. Then I also never know the porridge comes from which stall.

So I just went around. Then found this beef noodle stall just beside the mince meat noodle stall. There wasn't any people buying from there. Then I also doubted.

But I just tried my luck then. I ordered 1 kwetiaw beef dry, with the beef ball for $4.00

It was niceeeeeee, the beef was so tender and the beef balls were also nice. :D
Next time, I will order from this stall.

Chicken Chop Wasabi @ Shokudo, Bugis Junc

Initially I wanted to order the mushroom spaghetti. Then this one was very tempting.

So I decided to try the new one. Chicken Chop Wasabi, It is their signature dish.

I think the chicken it self was too oily. The wasabi was not so strong also. But over all was acceptable.

Smurf Perhiasan

This book is lent by Yenty.

Smurf Badut is kidnapped by human. And he is forced to steal gems and diamond from other people's houses.

Papa Smurf and other smurf are trying to help Smurf Badut.

When Smurf Badut is smuggling in one house, he accidentally met a boy. The boy has been kidnapped from his rich father for ransom.

So the missions are to save Smurf Badut and to return the boy to his father.

Chinese Cinderella

This book is about an unwanted little girl.

Her mother died when giving birth to her. Because of that her dad didn't love her. And all her siblings blamed her to cause their mother died.

During her school year she had done very well, led her classmates. But other than that, she lived in miseries.

Her grandfather always encouraged her. And he belived that she is special.

Her step mother hated her very much.

But after she won International Writing Competition, her life began to change. She was the first Hong Kong student that won this competition. Then since that time, her father allowed her to study in England, taking medical science as her major.

Lighting for Living Room

I still have not decided what kind of lighting for my living room. But the dining room, I really like this one.



The cheapest lighting shop is www.lighting.com.sg. Most probably I'll get my lighting from them. They charge for delivery $18.00

I'll consider this one for my living room light. Let say later our budget is not enough, then just get the normal one. T-T

Prata at Banquette, Balestier Road

It was very hot and tiring day, when my husband and I searched for our bathroom tiles.

Then we wanted to take a rest awhile and have some drinks.

We saw got this cheap prata $0.60/pieces, minimal order is 2.

Then he ordered 2 plain and 1 onion.

Normally at other stall the plain one is ready and cold already. But this one they made new one. So it's crispy. :D Nice. Cheap and nice. The curry was good also.

Hainanese Style Mix Vege @ Chinchin Eating House, Purvis street

I realized that Boon Tong Kee is nicer than Chin Chin. But I like ChinChin's mix vege in Hainanese Style.

Steak again!!! T-T

Passion Fruit Smoothies @ Coffee Club

This passion fruit was definitely syrup but they put the seeds as if it was real.

Niko's Mushroom Rice

He also cooked this mushroom rice, because I'd been nagging quite sometimes. Actually I want the claypot mushroom rice. Our claypot has cracked. So this time he used rice cooker. There wasn't any burned effect on my mushroom rice. T-T

Then the 2 pieces chicken breast and the golden mushroom were nice.

Niko's New Year Breakfast

He made omelette mixed with golden mushroom, rosty, and sausages.

Giant Cheese Cake

I was thinking want to buy Japanese cheese cake from Breadtalk. It cost for $8.80 for small oval cake

Then when we went to Giant, there's cheese cake also, bigger, and it's only $4.70.

I didn't expect too much for this cheap cheese cake. But when we ate this, it's not so far different from Bread talk one. The texture is slightly different, but the taste and everything is about the same.

I think from know on, I know where to buy cheese cake.

X'mas Deco @ Vivo City

New Year's Eve

See, smell, and drink only.

Then we went to Benwaicome's house. Met Duke. He is a very friendly dog. I like him. :D His face looks like my Chiko.

They gave us speaker ball for my ipod as x'mas gift.


We played cards & mahjong and drank sake.

Singapore Zoo

Since I came to Singapore, I'd never been there untill we went there on 26th December 2009.

Admission fee for zoo is $18.00

I like Hippo, its tail is very cute.

The best thing is the crocodile. there's one floating like a junk of wood. it looks that it's dead.


The giraffes looked very pretty. And zebras looked fashionable.

I really enjoyed my time there. I would enjoy more if there weren't so many people.

Qonquering 3rd Museum : Asian Civilization Museum

This museum is more or less the same as National Museum of Indonesia. It showcases artifacts of Asian Civilization.

We enjoyed most when I was in China's chamber.

The most boring one was Islamic Chamber. Nobody went in also, so it was a bit scary for only 2 of us being there.
