World War Z

I went to watch WWZ on Saturday night at Bugis Junction. It was a tense movie from the beginning till the end. I actually don't like this kind of movie as I experienced similar tense on watching Resident Evil. We watched this because my colleagues said this movie is better than Man of Steel.

I covered my face when Brad Pitt went to the laboratory full of zombies. It was so tense. I rather not to see that. My purpose of watching movie is to relax.

The scenes I like in this movie are :

1. When Pitt in Israel, they show people from Palestine are allowed to enter the wall. Because they will fight 1 zombie lesser if they save 1 person. But eventually the city is destroyed because people from Palestine sing too loud which then trigger the zombies to crowd at 1 point.

2. When Pitt and the army girl are about to be saved by a helicopter. The helicopter is attacked by zombies. I found it a bit funny.

3. When a zombie waiting in front of the glass door at restricted lab room.

4. When Pitt's team is just landed in Korea, the researcher is tripped and he shoots him self. He is dead without even contributing something. WTF!!! Actually why the hell he is involved in the movie? With or without his role, this movie will be the same.

The end of this movie doesn't really give a good ending. The ending I am expecting is like they clearly solve the zombie virus problem not only the vaccine to camouflage healthy humans. Because eventually the scene they show at the end of the movie is they gather the infected human to a big stadium and explode the stadium. In my point of view, if the infected humans are not dead, unlike zombies, they are not supposed to kill the infected ones in order to solve the problem. They should solve this by inventing the real vaccine which call kill the virus. Overall this movie lacks of humanity factor.

Espresso Lab, Bali Lane

I came here this morning to accompany my husband. He was participating in coffee appreciation course for 2 hours from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

I had prepared my activity while waiting there for 2 hours. I ordered breakfast and read book.

I ordered toasted brioche with egg and sausages. It came with balsamic vinegar salad for $10.80. For the drink, I ordered English breakfast tea. They specialize in coffee but I ordered tea. What to do...I don't drink coffee.

The price is not expensive if you compare with Jones The Grocer. The big breakfast they serve costs only $15.80 while at other place it costs for above $25.

The place is a bit small. but the ambiance is not bad for a nice weekend brunch.

I managed to finish 20-25% of the book while waiting for him.

Beerthai, Golden Mile Complex

We had lunch here as we happened to be near the area. I heard from my Thai colleague, this place is better than Diandin Leluk.

We ordered 1 phadthai, 1 pandan chicken, and 1 garlic pork rice. They don't have lemon grass so we changed our order to thai ice tea.

The phadthai looks much nicer than Leluk's one, but the taste was super salty. The saltiest noodle I have ever tasted.

The pandan chicken looks half cooked. It still has chicken smell. I don't like it at all.

The garlic pork was better.

Dolce & Gabbana Rose The One

I bought this perfume from P&G staff sale for only $63.50. It smells like rose as they named it. It's not as cheap rose smell as Mark & Spencer's one.

It's a good bargain for this items as it has 65% discount. The packaging is really elegant with bronze mirror finish box.

Uncle's Kitchen

I follow my Indian Colleagues to Bugis Junction. We ate at Uncle's Kitchen. It was good but consider expensive.

Nakhon's Kitchen

This is will be our favorite restaurant to go during the lazy weekend. We try the tomyum soup. It was good. The pandan chicken is a bit small but it's nice. The garlic pork is good also. The phadthai is good but the Tom Yum goong's one is still better.

Happy Chef's Chicken Chop

This is one of the best western food in hawker center class. I feel the most worth your money is the Happy Chef's chicken chop, cost for $6.00. You can select 2 side dishes. I actually selected pasta and vegetable but don't know why it came with vegetable and coleslaw. They serve that with 1 slice of garlic bread.

They make the chicken chop with a bit burn on it. I love it.

Here's the address in case you want to try.

Visceral Fats

Initially I didn't know what visceral fats means and it just began when Niko bought a body scale from Japan that can measure your visceral fats. After that I tried to find out what visceral fats means.

But recently somebody share in facebook post about visceral fats. I was surprise because it then can effect not only the blood vessel but also the organ inside your body.

There's a video of a doctor cut a fat corpse open. We obviously can see that the doctor couldn't find the heart and other organs because they were covered by yellow fats. Imagine you need an operation and I think the operation is going to be much more difficult for the surgeon and then it will cause higher risk for the operation.

After that, they brought out the organs and put them on the tray. There was another tray of normal weight human organ. He started comparing each organ between the normal weight human and overweight human. We can obviously see that the lungs were very small and the heart was double the size of normal human heart. I have not research further on why the size of the heart is bigger than the normal one.

The visceral fat is also known as fatty toxic. The good news is, since visceral fat is metabolically active, it is very easy to burn. Sometimes just small changes in diet and exercise can reduce visceral fat levels significantly.

Medan Town

The location of this restaurant is at 253 Tanjong Katong Road, Singapore 437041. I tried their signature dish, the duck beehoon. It was great and I definitely will go back here to try other menu. The perkedel (potato cake) is also nice.

Menya Musashi, Ion Orchard

Among all the ramen shops in Singapore, I think Menya Musashi's one is one of the top 3 on my list.

The pork broth is so thick and it has complex taste.

They changed the seaweed to some kind of fried bean curd. I still prefer the seaweed version.

My favorite is the black soup cha siu ramen.

Paris Baguette, Wisma Atria

This is the 3rd time I have been trying to eat here. It's just hard finding table here. People are just buy cheap stuffs and sit for the entire day.

I was expecting the taste of the crepes mille to be more fantastic than it actually was. So I was a little bit disappointed on the crepes mille.

The royal pudding was not a pudding. It was like a mousse. I felt I was being cheated. The nice thing about this royal pudding is the bottle. We can take back home those cute little bottle.
