Home Made Bread

I finally can do my own bread. Marco straight away ate 6 pieces once it's baked. He kept saying how nice it was. Actually I knew it was not nice. He has bias judgements towards whatever I do for him.




Goodwood Park Hotel Brunch, 22 Jan 2022

I got a acquaintance asked me to go brunch at Goodwood Park Hotel. I think the selection of food is very limited for the price paid in my opinion.

First station was only laksa stations, new year cake wrapped with dumpling skin, gyoza, mantao with some soup, chicken, pork and shrimp satay. Second station and the rest of the station were connected together. There were salad, cheese and 3 choices of ham (salami, pork and chicken). Deep fried station had cheese croquette, chicken karaage, sausage wrapped with bacon, dumpling and beef wellington. However the waitress was unable to cut the beef wellington nicely for me, it was messy on my plate. There was a station, serving brussels sprout soup which I didn't feel like eating after seeing. The last station nearest to the guest's seats was sandwich station. There were croissant sandwich with tuna and ham filling, small pastry with toppings, quiche.

I found this is not a good choice to be honest for the price paid. 2 persons were $145 with tax. I was full. However, I had to take the same food again two times. That means lacking of variety. They also rushed us to exit at 1pm as the second seating would be in at 2pm.

Marco ordered miso ramen special, comes with seaweed, egg and many slices of chasiu. While mine is just the miso ramen basic one. Marco managed to finish the ramen up to 90%.
