Today is the first day we start working after having 5 days off (24th-28th January 2009). And my colleagues from Philiphines just came back yesterday night. She brought me Polvoron, cashew flavor.
She gave me 10 pieces....others only got 1pieces... :)

My accesories

I just brought these things from Jakarta in my last month trip.

Even I have few accesories like earings, fancy necklace, I never wear those outside.

I found my self not interested in girl accesories.

The worst food ever @MunTingXiang,Century Square,Tampines

We went to Century Square at Tampines to buy Yoon's bday gift, and we ate at one of the restaurant on the basement floor, Mun Ting Xiang.

The price wasn't so expensive at the brochure, but the taste was totally off.

I ordered Braised pork noodle which in the picture looked very tasty. It costs me $9.80 which is not worthy for a bowl of not nice noodle. At Kim Gary (vivocity) I can get better taste with the same price.

After a while a waiter came and put a bowl of pale noodle without saying anything. They should say the food's name to place in front of the person who ordered it. Really not polite.
And the noodle and the pork were not the same like in the picture...before I tasted it, I knew the taste wouldn't be so nice from how it looked.

My colleagues who also ordered different food, said the taste wasn't nice at all. I am wondering why they still can survive in Singapore.

2nd day CNY - 27th Jan 2009

Ronald invited us to his place to have lunch together.. He made egg tart...sorry, I don't know the proper name, so I just call it egg tart. :P

Niko decided to take taxi going there...cause he brought few things with him for our lunch.

I have to wait for 1 hour to have my lunch...thanks for these two guys for making our lunch.

1st day of CNY - 26th Jan 2009

Nothing special in CNY, we just stayed at home and Niko the great chef ever made me breakfast and lunch & dinner.

Breakfast, he made omelette with beef meatball those already in our refridge for more than a month. Lucky I still can write this blog...

And for lunch & dinner, he made japanese chicken curry which I preferred to have Indian curry on that day. He served with chicken wings...very oily chicken wings.

Chinese New Year Eve dinner - 25th January 2009

We invited Ronald to come to our place to have our CNY eve dinner together since the others were going back to Jakarta.

These were what we were having on that night :
1. Cold jelly fish
2. Crab and shark fin soup
3. Steam fish with ginger
4. Prawn paste chicken
5. Fried Noodle

For the dessert :
1. Longan with syrup
2. Orange

Beverages:
1. Ba Pao cha
2. Sparkling rose from Adeline
3. Green Tea - heaven and earth
4. Coke
The crab and shark fin soup was too salty...niko, what had happened? And the noodle was too sweet...no further comments.

After that, We played wii...raving rabbits the dancing one. Ronald was really enjoying it. I always got the lowest score even I played with Donikon... :(

New Honda City 2009

It's been a year I was expecting to see the new Honda city design. I knew I would be launched by 2009, unfortunately it was launched in fourth quarter 2008.

The design is nice. Previous design was more feminine look, but now is more macho.
As usually, City's design is always very nice outside but nothing is special inside.
It just that the steering wheel is using the one that Civic has. Over all the newest generation of honda city is nice, but I don't know why, I don't feel like the rear side.

I still remember that from the 1st time, honda city was launched on 1997, I really really wanted that car. And then the next generation, honda city Z on 2000. But I eventually got other car that I didn't really crazy about it. On 2003, Honda city i-dsi was launched with a sophisticated design, and again I couldn't afford to buy it cause I was still in Uni...and the face lift of the 2003 version was launched on 2007 while I was going to go to Singapore.

Chicken Rendang for Lunch

The lastest I ate rendang is when I was in Jakarta, at Saribundo padang restaurant that cause me stomachache on my wedding day eve.

Then today Niko cooked rendang for lunch with scramble eggs.

He didn't add any salt in it, but the taste was very salty. We still have half plate for today dinner.

My Bags 2008

It also happened with my bags inside clear plastic Ikea box. I did count them, so I know how many bags I have.

During the recession time, I will not buy any expensive bags. I will just buy the one that below $50.

I have a rule in buying things. Whether you buy the very cheap one or the very expensive one. Don't buy at the middle level. The middle level for bags is about $100-400.

And what I meant about the cheap bags is less than $50. So I won't keep the bag for few years while it's not in a good condition, throwing it away also pain heart because of its price.

My Shoes 2008

I never count how many pairs I have, but at the beginning of this year I just did.

I just finish count my shoes and sandals. Total is 16 pairs.
I still remember that I had thrown my thick sole shoes at office few months ago. And I have not been buying any shoes since last month.

Morning I always feel that I lack of shoes to wear....then have a feeling that I really need to buy few pair of them for daily.

Tiongbahru Market Western Food

I began to like this since my husband got addicted with this stall.

But if we eat there normally I will order the Fish Fillet. Other wise I will order Chicken cutlet with rice.

The fish fillet costs $5.50 including fries, egg, and coleslaw.

Really annoying

This evening after came back from having dinner with my high school friend, I asked my husband whether he wants me to dye his hair. Then he agreed to do it this evening.

So when I colored his hair I asked him to take off his glasses. Actually he was playing WE (I'm so tired talking againts his WE). After a few minutes taking off his glasses, he decided to go kitchen. I though he wanted to drink or go toilet. Then he came back with the plastic covered his glasses. Sigh...

If he were my son, I would have caned him.

Can he really really die without playing WE for a while?

He was eating the nasi bryani for I think about 1 hour, cause he played WE while he was eating it.

A gift from My senior

This Monday, my senior designer just came back from Japan for a business trip, cause she is doing Universal Studio at Sentosa.

She gave us (only those are under her team) a pen from disney land Japan. Then I chose Purple color...I don't know why, I began to like purple since a month ago.

Pasta again?

It's his hobby now to cook pasta...he always want to use angle hair rather than other kind of pasta.
Now he is no longer using the instant pasta sauce...he is making his sauce, that I think better than cream sauce and tomato sauce. Its taste is a bit sour and you still can taste white wine in it.

My lunch at coffee shop near by office

This is what I'm having for almost everyday till I get bored of it.

It is a fish bowl soup with noodle/beehoon/mie sua.

It will become very nice if you put the small chilli in. costs $2.50/bowl.

Chewy Junior @Tiongbahru Plaza

Since the first time I saw this stall at Tiongbahru Plaza, I was wondering how the taste is.

Today, I can answer the question. My Senior designer, bought 3 boxes of these and brought to office for us to share.

I tried the blueberry cheese and strawberry cheese. I like it...then after office hour, I went to Tiongbahru Plaza to buy for tomorrow breakfast.

Ken Ramen @Orchard Plaza

We were not planning to eat this on the day, but Niko just threw idea to have our dinner here after I finished having my hair cut.

Over all the taste was great...

Ayam Penyet RIA @Lucky Plaza

I went out for having dinner with my friends, cause she just went back from Japan, company trip.
Then she wanted to pass me a box of mochi.

We met at Ayam penyet ria...the sambal...could not forget. Really nice even the chicken tasted nothing special. I always order breast part of a chicken...I can not take tight part because the meat color is brown and usually the veins are still inside the meat.

And this is the mochi that she gave to me...and the taste was very nice...so tender and not so sweet, macha flavour.

9th day at Jakarta, 5th January 2009

I was planning to renew my driving license cause It will be expired on February 2009. And I won't go back on next February.

I renew it on the mobile driving license service. We came there on 10am. I waited there on side of the road for about 3 hours and 30 minutes. Finally on 1.30pm I got my new license.

They took my pic inside the trailer.

And at night Niko's relative asked us to go out dinner at Angke restaurant near my house. After that sent us to the airport.

Finally the Jakarta trip was over...

7th day at Jakarta, 3rd January 2009 at Jakarta, the dinner

I woke up on 1am cause my mother and my aunty were noisy, they were opening the angpao.

I went to toilet and I got diarrhea.

After that I was not feeling well, I vomited and went to toilet again for few times. Then the second time was water. My stomach was very pain. I was thinking that I caught a cold.

Till 3.30am I couldn't sleep at all cause the pain was very severe. And finally my mother called Niko's mother, then she suggested to go to clinic near her house.

Then we picked Niko up first from the hotel. Went to the clinic, knocked the door for few times. The doctor is a lady, and she gave me medicine to kill the stomachache.

Just 1 step out from the clinic gate, I vomited again. This time was totally water.

Then I stayed at Niko's house, his mother fed me plain porridge. I still had my pain in stomach.
The next 15 minutes, I felt much better, It was 4.30am already.

Then next 30 minutes, on 5am, the make up artists and the photographers reached my house...sigh...I didn't have time to sleep at all on my wedding day.

New Fragrance - Oasis

I bought new fragrance from my sister in law, cause my Anna Sui will be finished soon.

6th day at Jakarta, 2nd January 2009 - malam bidadari

This day was the last day I have to buy 4 chairs, cause tomorrow we gonna use them for the tea ceremony.

So my mother and I went to Roxy, we managed to find 1 furniture shop that had 4 nice chairs and could be delivered on the same day also.

These are the chairs those I bought for Rp.470.000 each.

After settled the thing, we wanted to eat Soto mie near there, but the seller said it would be ready on 1pm. So if we wanted to eat that, we still need to wait 1 hour.

We were already very hungry, so my mother said, why didn't we eat Nasi Padang.

So I drove to pick Niko's suit at Laundrette MTA and went to Sari Bundo at Djuanda.
I ate a lot...till I couldn't eat anymore.

When we reached home, everybody already did the preparation for tonight.

The guests started to come around 6.30pm. And the dinner was offer on 9.00pm without food for Niko and me.

I took shower and slept around 11pm.

5th day at Jakarta, 1st January 2009

Happy new year 2009.

The dishes were very nice...

Fried noodle, cap chay, and steam chicken with smoked ham.

After that we went to Ci Siu Lie's house at Green Garden to brief her son.

We had dinner at Bakso Malang Karapitan. So spicy...mantabbbb!!!

4th day at Jakarta, 31st Dec 2008, at home the whole day

We hadn't found some time to do our wedding video, so this day was perfect for doing this.
So morning I came into Niko's house, having lunch together with his sister, "on the bed"...this was the 1st time for me having lunch on the bed.

At night, we went out for dinner to Ikan Bakar Cianjur at Batu Ceper. Affordable price and great taste.

We enjoyed the fireworks on my house roof.

3rd day at Jakarta, 30th Dec 2008, Hokben and d'crepes

We went back to Mall Taman Anggrek to settle my account at BCA. I closed my USD account. It took 2 hours to settle the thing.

Then we had our lunch at Hoka Hoka Bento, Niko's favorite. Actually I don't like HHB, expensive and the taste is really common.

I still wanted to buy d'crepes, so we ordered banana cheese. Last time during my uni time, I always ordered crepes with meat filling. But now I prefer without meat.

We still had time to spend so I asked Niko to accompany me to Mangga2. Finally I bought 2 piece of clothes and underwear.

On the way home was like this....jam for 1 hour....the trafic is always really messy.

2nd day at Jakarta,29th Dec 2008, Make up testing

We arranged appointment with the make up artist, Herry from Centro, on the 2nd day, Monday morning.

He reached my house on 10.30am and soon started the preparation for my make up testing.

He is really good, this was the 1st time I was being make up and I felt comfortable at my eyes and the eyes also looked good.

Of course his fee wasn't cheap. But overall we were satisfied with the make up result and the hairdo.

After that we went to Artha gading mall to see dining table's chairs.

On evening we met all the person involved for our wedding dinner at Mall Taman Anggrek. While having discussing, we had our dinner at Pizza Hut. 7 persons attended the meeting, Samuel (best man), Felicia (bride's maid), Iwan (photographer), Ci Siung Ngo, Ian (MC), Niko (groom), Martha (bride).

1st day at Jakarta, 28th Dec 2008, the arrival

When we arrived at Jakarta, we were picked up by my mother and my aunty. After that we reached home.

Then they served these fruit, can't remember what they are called. These were brought from Menado.

Their taste are like longan mixed with durian.
