the good thing about this movie is it's kind of moral motivation for mothers. At the same time, it's entertaining. Really. I literally LOL for the PTA speech time.

She finally gets to be elected to PTA president.

Alice Through The Looking Glass

I watched this online. It was ok actually. Not so bad. Visually impressive.

The story is about Alice who traveled to other dimension through the mirror. Then her mission is to save Hatter's family.

Ouija : Origin of Evil, 2016

I watched this movie at movie123. It's scary.

Basically a family, mother and 2 daughters, Lina and Doris lived in a house. Doris was a medium for spirit. In fact she communicated with bad spirits. They died in the house because of a doctor experimented with them.

The mother and Doris eventually died. Lina became mentally ill. But she still communicated with Doris.

The ending scene ended with Lina in a mental hospital with Doris was still haunting her.

The Affair

I recently have been watching this series. I am reaching the end of season 2.

I think this series is a fictional which is very common thing could happen to any family.

Overall it's very engaging. It is about a family man, Noah who has 4 children with Helen. He has an affair with Alison, a waitress, a wife who lost her 4 year old son. There are sex scenes in almost every episode.


What makes the story interesting is the way the story is told. Each episode normally has 2 perspectives for the same event. It is a very interesting way. However as audience, we will see the same event 2 times but from 2 different people.

Minions, 2015

The movie was about Kevin, Stuart, and Bob's journey to find a new master. Three of them represented the minions and went to USA. This movie was also the beginning on how they met Gru.

Cinderella, 2015

I watched this in a fast forward mode. I found it quite boring as we all knew how this story goes. The objective is just to enjoy visual effect of the movie. How the magic turns pumpkin in to carriage. It was nice visual effect but a boring movie.

Night at The Museum 2

It was a boring movie. The guard were a CEO of a torch light company so he seldom visited the museum he used to work. The exhibits were packed and going to be transported to the national archives.

In the national archives, there was an Egyptian prince who wanted to get the tablet for him self. So it involved chasing, hiding, and some silly things. I fell asleep actually when watching this movie. I watched this on my laptop when I was in Jakarta trip for eKTP.

Out of This World

I really remember about the TV series on the 90's about a girl named Evie who can stop the time.

I found it. The series is named Out of This World. Evie is a girl whose father is a planetarian and married with a human. The father went back to his planet and left Evie with her mother.

When Evie turned 13, she got the power from her father. She can stop the time and only the people she touches then the people can move. She touches her mother and her uncle only as they want to keep secret about her power.

The Imitation Game

I watched this movie yesterday as Niko was keen to see it. The movie was about Alan Turing the pioneer who found Artificial Intelligent, Computer. The movie has no action, it is biography of Alan Turing. Interesting but a bit flat.

Overall the story was a knowledge gaining for me as I didn't know who Alan Turing was previously.

Benedict Cumberbatch is a perfect cast for Alan Turing even though in reality they look different physically.

World War Z

I went to watch WWZ on Saturday night at Bugis Junction. It was a tense movie from the beginning till the end. I actually don't like this kind of movie as I experienced similar tense on watching Resident Evil. We watched this because my colleagues said this movie is better than Man of Steel.



I covered my face when Brad Pitt went to the laboratory full of zombies. It was so tense. I rather not to see that. My purpose of watching movie is to relax.

The scenes I like in this movie are :

1. When Pitt in Israel, they show people from Palestine are allowed to enter the wall. Because they will fight 1 zombie lesser if they save 1 person. But eventually the city is destroyed because people from Palestine sing too loud which then trigger the zombies to crowd at 1 point.


2. When Pitt and the army girl are about to be saved by a helicopter. The helicopter is attacked by zombies. I found it a bit funny.


3. When a zombie waiting in front of the glass door at restricted lab room.

4. When Pitt's team is just landed in Korea, the researcher is tripped and he shoots him self. He is dead without even contributing something. WTF!!! Actually why the hell he is involved in the movie? With or without his role, this movie will be the same.

The end of this movie doesn't really give a good ending. The ending I am expecting is like they clearly solve the zombie virus problem not only the vaccine to camouflage healthy humans. Because eventually the scene they show at the end of the movie is they gather the infected human to a big stadium and explode the stadium. In my point of view, if the infected humans are not dead, unlike zombies, they are not supposed to kill the infected ones in order to solve the problem. They should solve this by inventing the real vaccine which call kill the virus. Overall this movie lacks of humanity factor.

Doctor-X

It was funny when I told my colleagues about this Japanese drama series. They smiled like something is wrong. I knew they were thinking something dirty as the title is "Doctor-X"...sounds dirty and it's japanese movie.

Total episode of this series is 9 episodes.

The story is about a surgeon named Daimon Michiko. She is a freelance surgeon with special term and condition stated in her contract, like she doesn't do anything that don't need medical license and only work from 9am to 5pm. She breaks all rule to help people.

Every extra miles she has gone, her agent will come to the hospital director with a melon wrapped nicely and an expensive bill as an extra charge for her service.

The colleagues innitially doesn't respect her because they thought that she worked for money. But at the end of the story, they admire her and support her because her mission is actually to help others.

Movie 43

I think this movie is super crap. Eventhough I like to watch junk movie, like scary movie for example. I feel this one is totally crap compare to those crap ones.



There are 15 independent story in this movie. I think almost all short stories in here got the sex scene in it. After all it's totally crap.

Anna Karenina

The movie is about Anna, a wife of Russian state man, and they are very wealthy. She has been married with the husband for 10 years and now she is 28 years old.

She meets a handsome guy on the train whom she will have an affair with later on.

She is pregnant with his son. She tells the husband about it when her husband takes out condom from the cupboard.

She delivers a baby girl and the baby is under her husband custody.

She ends up being kicked out from the house by her husband.

She has depression on how people treat her on public. She drinks laudanum to forget it.

She finally commits suicide because of hallucination. She hallucinates on the boyfriend making love with another girl.


I think the way they shoot the movie is very interesting as every scene has stage setting as part of it.

Argo

We watched this movie last night. The movie was successfully made us tense as there was not any anticlimax period.



After watching, as usual we read the wikipedia about this movie. I think what is very interesting about this move according to me is that it deviates too much from the reality. A lot of people are disappointed on this movie because it takes away credits from them. I am wondering whether this movie will give impact on political relationship between Canada and US.

If I were the ambassador or Canadian, I could have felt the same. The movie is just showcasing how brilliant the agent is to come out with the movie idea and to carry out the plan by himself. As I recall back, the role of the ambassador is just to accommodate 6 of them in his house which in fact, he has a friend who accommodated 2 out of 6.

From the commercial point of view, I think this movie is a success. If you don't want to be disappointed, do not check on the history. It will then unveil the distortion of this movie.

Jack Reacher

I didn't know the movie even after I sat on the theater seat. I asked Niko last minute during the commercial. The movie was quite good. At least it was more interesting than HOBBITS... The point of the movie is about solving a murder puzzle which the main suspect didn't do it. He had been trapped by an organization. Reacher came and identified the crime scene. He was very sure that the police got the wrong man. Tom Cruise doesn't age since 10 years ago. OMG!!!

Celebrating New Year 2013 by watching HOBBITS

We bought midnight movie tickets to fill in our old and new event which was empty till last minute of end 2012. We went to NEX on 31st Dec 2012 on 11pm. The selected movie was Hobbits. Soon after reaching, I have to wait for somebody going to toilet settling urgent thing. We were second audience in the theater. most of the seats were eventually empty. Few couples left the theater before the movie ended. I think the movie was so boring till they could not take it. I began to feel bored when the drafts' rough journey was always rescued by some one or something. Once it's still ok, twice is getting boring, three times??? It was just simply a boring movie. I will think twice to continue watching their second movie. This prelude was the same as Lord of the ring, there wasn't something new about it. I went out the theater with disappointment till I didn't want to talk about the movie. There's nothing to discuss about this movie. We then went to NTUC 24 hours at the same shopping center buying ingredient for tomorrow's cooking. After that, I have no choice have to go Serangoon Garden to accompany my little boy. He was nagging he was hungry. We end up reach home around 4am or 4.30am.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents, "A Secret Life"

A husband suddenly wanted a divorce when the couple had a good relationship and life. He went away to Mexico and the scene revealed that he had a young lover. The attorney he consulted to, misunderstood his reason to divorce his wife. A private investigator to spying his wife as a reason to divorce her. From the investigator, he knew that his wife had an actor as a company for few times. He rouse his lover anger by acting so weird and worried about his wife. The lover finally said goodbye to him and he replied goodbye as well. He decided to reconcile back with his wife. One day, a friend of his wife who had same physical appearance with her came and she introduced her to her husband. The wife said the friend already helped her in taking care the house during her visit to San Francisco last month. He just realized that the one with the actor was not his wife, it was her friend.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents S04E33 The Dusty Drawer

The problem started because of $200. Norman Logan was cheated by a banker named William Tritt. Norman accused Tritt for using his $200 to cover up his transaction mistake. He got a plastic gun that looked real and threaten Tritt to give him 10 grant. He was trapped by believing that Longan had a gun. Logan continuously disturbed Tritt by sending telegrams during the lunch with Tritt's boss and by visiting him in the bank so often. The secret of this robber actually is a secret drawer below the table. Logan eventually got the $10K. But it was just as a joke he was playing with Tritt. He forged Tritt's signature on the check returning the $10K to the bank. Overall this act was only to make Tritt looked crazy in front of everybody.

ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS (1987) - If The Shoe Fits

This story tells about a twin brothers who live totally different life. The elder brother, Garret, is a vice president of advertising company who just lost his father. His father was a president of the company and he educated Garret to handle his company. The little brother who was born 1 minute later, Jason, is jobless, self proclaimed an professional actor. Comes to Garret's huge house and kills Garret to take his place in life. Since they are identical twins, no body would knows. Jason is happy now with Garret's pretty wife and good career. He just needs to struggle a bit at office to be as smart as Garret. He last minute can do good in front of the big client and gets promotion to be president of the company. Eventually, the ending is not what he wants. Garret actually killed the father to get the president position. The detective arrests him at his office after his promotion. The message of this movie is we only see good things from successful people as if they have the most ideal life. But they actually hide some unpleasant things inside. If Jason still lived with his life, may be he would be free. But he took over Garret's life. He will be in jail for years.

ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS (1987) - Deathmate

The story is about a wife who has an affair with a younger man. She wants to leave her old rich husband and runs away with the young man. But the man has another thought. He wants to be with her because of the money. In fact the man has lover already. So if she runs away with him without inheriting her husband wealth, his effort will be useless. Eventually the young man kills her husband and makes it as if the man drowns during his bath. Suddenly she appears and thanks to him by pointing a gun at him. She said "I better be a rich widow than a runaway wife" :D
