Christmas 2016

I went to St.Anne Church with Marco. We went there very early. I chopped the best place for Marco to see the altar. Right in the middle of Homili, he started to get cranky and then he asked me to stand in the middle of the homili. Then he asked me to go out with him. So we left the church after that. I went to Sengkang mall to have lunch with Marco. Then we went home for his afternoon nap. This is his incomplete first Christmas Mass.

Meeting with Elsye, 24th Dec 2016

I met Elsye with her family at Paul Paragon. She gave Marco a Doraemon towel. I am really glad that I can still maintain relationship with few friends.

Alice Through The Looking Glass

I watched this online. It was ok actually. Not so bad. Visually impressive.

The story is about Alice who traveled to other dimension through the mirror. Then her mission is to save Hatter's family.

Marco Has Lung Infection

On Monday,12 Dec 2016, the childcare called me on 4 that Marco had fever. I quickly went there to pick him up. When I arrived there, he looked tired and inactive. Other children was playing on the floor singing, he just sat on the chair and kept quiet.

When he saw me, he ran to take the water bottle. Then we went home. I asked the uber to wait for me.

It had been more than 3 days he had been having fever. We went to KKH A&E to take the blood test. His x-ray showed he has lung infection. The doctor gave him antibiotic to be finished in 10 days.



The photo shows one of the day when he said he felt his body cold. However he had high fever. So he was covered by 2 layers of blanket.

Martabak Boss @ Jcube

I had a craving for martabak for weeks. So I decided to go to Jcube for Martabak Boss. I ordered the classic chocolate cheese and add $2.50 for wisman butter spread.

It was ok only. I think $12 for this pancake is a bit too expensive. I will come back in a few months because at the moment I am so sick looking at martabak.

Honeymoon Dessert

I tried this one because this one looked really good.The mango was ripe. I think everything was good. It would be better if they put strawberry in.

Jtown Noodle

There are few non local noodles which are nice here. One of them is Jtown @ Orchard Plaza, opposite Orchard Gateway.

It's Indonesian chicken noodle. I don't like the texture of the noodle. But since there are not many choices, so this is ok.

Zoo Visit , 11 Dec 2016

I got another 2 tickets for zoo visit expired on 15 Dec 2016. I went with Marco and Wiwik. There is a dinosaur exhibition going on till March 2017. It was really good. The dinosaurs have mechanism to move and blink.

Marco was scared of the big dinos. He likes the bird dino. We went there 2 times. Morning and when we were about to leave the zoo.

He rode a pony again. It was a short ride. Then rode carousel 3 times. I bought a 2 in 1 tickets for him.

He fell down when he ran to chase me near the white tiger exhibit. He got cut on his right eye brow.

He had fever on Monday and Tuesday. I am wondering what the cause.

Ouija : Origin of Evil, 2016

I watched this movie at movie123. It's scary.

Basically a family, mother and 2 daughters, Lina and Doris lived in a house. Doris was a medium for spirit. In fact she communicated with bad spirits. They died in the house because of a doctor experimented with them.

The mother and Doris eventually died. Lina became mentally ill. But she still communicated with Doris.

The ending scene ended with Lina in a mental hospital with Doris was still haunting her.

Mala at China Town

I finally tried Mala. It's not so nice in a way everyone is crazy about it. It's nice because of its spiciness and it makes your tongue numb.



I do want to eat again but it's quite pricey for a dish like that. $17.

Korean Hot Plate at 145 Yong Fu Coffee Shop

I have been obsessed with the beef and chicken hotplate from Korean stall near my working place. It is at 145 Yong Fu Coffee Shop.



I ordered the same thing again and again. The portion is generous for $6. But recently I ordered different thing. I tried the saba mixed with chicken. It was good also.

Keisuke at Suntec

I have been a regular here. I bring Marco to Cool d'sac and we always have our lunch here. They serve free Ramen for children.



My order is always the same. Miso ramen with egg. After trying to order different ramen for Marco, I stick with tonkotsu ramen with thinner broth. Some of the waiter already recognized us as we are regular here.

Pizzeria Mozza at MBS

One of my friend mentioned about this place. I think overall the food was good. Their wine was also good.

I ordered pizza with a lot of Parma ham and order parma ham separately. The wine I chose the sweet white Moscato.

Martabak at Jtown

My friend and I were at Somerset. We had this Indonesian pancake. It's acceptable, not really fantastic. The one from Indonesia is definitely much better.

Sending My Mom Back, 12th Nov 2016

After staying for 1 month and 1 week, she finally went home. Part of me felt relieve but part of me missed her presence here. Marco started to like and mentioned about her so many times after the 2nd week.

She supposed to go back a week before but suddenly there was a riot at Jakarta. She couldn't fly. It was too dangerous. We went to ICA to extend her visa on Saturday.

After she went home, Marco asked me where Oma was.

I took pictures in the terminal 3 leading to MRT. I seldom come here by MRT.



I again see myself aging. I look old after the major event happened in my life. I guess I have been thinking too much about what is happening and worrying too much about my future. My grey hairs are getting more compared to three years back.

Hari Raya Yani's Open House, 23rd July 2016

Yani, my ex-colleague from Pico invited us to come to her house for Hari Raya celebration.

Her house is at Tampines forget which block. I met Hendra at Tampines One to get a cake for her then together take bus to her house.

We reached there around 12 noon and we were the first two guests. Then Angelia came. Yani cooked prawn noodle and some other finger foods. I left around 3pm.

I was great to see ex-colleagues again.

Sungai Buloh Trip, 27th Aug 2016

I went in the morning. I feel it's a very good place to have a morning walk even though the area is not so big. I would love to go back there some day.

Keker's Wedding, 1st Oct 2016

Finally he married. I went together with Veli and Bernard as our houses are close to each other.

Zoo Visit, 23 October 2016

I got 2 Zoo tickets from my boss. I used them together with my mother while she was here.

So three of us went to the zoo. We went out from the house quite early around 9.30am and stayed in the zoo till 5.30pm. I brought stroller with me otherwise I would have difficulty carrying him if he was cranky.

He really enjoyed his time there. We started with seeing baby animals. He touched the baby goat and saw some of the preserved animals. He was trembling when he stood in front of Cheetah's exhibit. One of the cheetah approached him and stood close to him. He said he was scared.

When we reached the carnival area. He wanted to ride a pony. I tot a pony was a small horse. In fact, it is just a normal horse. The pony is white colour and her name is Rosy. He was happy ...I meant, really happy.

After the visit when we were in the taxi queue, he said he wanted to go to the zoo. Then he said he wanted to sleep in the zoo. Then I told him that next time we will sleep together with the polar bear, because polar bear has air-con. He agreed.
