My Husband...my classmate...

He never realized that I was his school mate until he saw these pictures...

Ferrero Rocher, dark chocolate

This kind is nicer that the normal one. no nut inside.

Niko's lotus soup

Niko cooked lotus soup and chicken massala. The massala powder I bought at Mustafa 1 week before chinese new year.

We ate the same menu for lunch and dinner.

Song fish with yakiniku sauce

I tried to make dinner on saturday. I bought a slice of Song fish (I have no idea what kind of fish it is) cause it is cheap. Actually is the cheapest...then we know why...

I sliced it thinner and put yakiniku sauce.

At the end...it was not nice cause the fish was full of bone..difficult to eat.

Ajisen Ramen

Long time never eat Ajisen Ramen. So last saturday, Niko and I went there for lunch. We ordered 1 Tontoro Ramen (our favorite), 1 miso Tonkatsu Ramen (not bad, really), and 1 plate white fish (side dish)

Tradewind3

My housemate passed me a new game that I never realized that I have it in my CD.

I was playing it from 8pm (saturday) till 5am (sunday)...really fun.

First, you have to choose 1 of 5 characters available. And at the beginning you will only have 1 ship. You can buy one by one till 10 ships (max).

You sail city to city to trade. You have to buy items which are cheap in that country and sell them in other country. Then you will get the profit from the price difference.

You also can buy storeroom to store items those are cheap in that moment and sell it in other moment when they are more expensive.

You beat pirates and get money.

You take a job and get paid for delivering something that they want.

In one night I had finished one character. And sunday I started other character....still playing on it.

Black forrest drink @Coffeeclub

Nice, inside have the choco beads, but not good for diet.

Korean Strawberry from Geraldine

Geraldine gave me Korean strawberry...yummy

Niko's Claypot rice

I don't know Why suddenly Niko wanted to make claypot rice...His claypot rice was the same taste as his fried rice. Unless you take the black rice at the bottom part, then you will know it is claypot rice.

I took my second round...not so special, but still want to eat that much?!?!

Mushroom rice @Kimgary Vivocity

We finally had time to watch Red Cliff after waiting for almost 1 and half month.

Before we watched, we were having dinner on Kim Gery restaurant. Actually Niko asked for Ajisen Ramen. But I was thinking that Kim Gery was nicer and more variety with affordable price.

I didn't need to think what I wanted to have. I ordered Mushroom rice with fish.

They have thick peanut butter toast. Really nice.

Then the next 2 days, Niko tried to make the same rice. The smell was the same, but taste was far different...He made chicken yakiniku for the topping and boiled broccoli.

Buy LV bag and diamond ring during economic crisis

I went to meet my uni friends on sunday on Tangling mall. The food court there was not so crowded. That's why we chose Tangling mall.

After lunch we went to Orchard, cause I wanted to go around. One of them also wanted to buy a present for his girlfriend...but had not decided the things yet. He asked for my help to choose.

The first buyer was Menonk...she did mention she wanted to buy a bag, but I never thought It was going to be LV bag. Because few days ago she always said about she wanted to save money during this crisis...and also didn't want to go to kluang. BTW she bought never full bag, the biggest. We had suggest the medium which is nicer for her size. She sticked with her choice.

I also wanted to buy...but still remember and still considering what niko always says. Better don't spend too much during economic crisis...you will never know what is going to happen next.

In my bday I want to get 1 bag...but he said he don't mind to give the money to me first. Just don't spend it. when the crisis is passed, then it's ok for me to buy the bag.

Then other friend bought a diamond ring for his beloved girlfriend regarding no special occasion.

do they have plenty of extra money? Or I'm just too paranoid about this economic crisis because niko is talking about it everyday.

Happy Valentine's day!

We didn't celebrate valentine. Niko said it's waisting money, Valentine's day is too commercialize in Singapore.

He told me few days before the day, that he was going to cook at home. Fish fillet with miso gravy.
I'm ok with that. Valentine's day for me is nothing unless it is the chance for me to get something extra.

But I had never gotten something really special from someone special cause my bday and valentine's day is 1 1/2 week difference.

Yesterday, we opened dragon fruit wine. And the fish, he bought red snapper...when we was eating the fish, still had bone inside, so we had to be careful. He also made jelly with chocolate sauce.
We ate our dinner on IKEA transparent box (inside are bed sheets and towels), we sat on carpet.

Singapore Botanical Garden

I visited Singapore Botanical Garden on Valentine's day...This place is really nice. Some groups do execise on morning...some people bring their dogs walk around.

This morning I saw 2 Siberian Husky, 2 Samoyed, 1 shitsu, 1 pitbull, 1 labrador, and so on.
I think it will be fun if we have dog and can exercise together with them.

new comer...

I had bought a pair of thick sole since 1 month never bought any shoes. This one is replacing my white thick sole shoes those I had thrown away at office.

Niko's Breakfast

Uni time..

I was thin and young..now old already. This was when we first join uni...we went to Cipelang (sukabumi) and had our time being bullied by our senior. Slept in tent, explore jungle on midnight, eat tasteless beehoon and friedrice, being asked to act stupid.

The male student needed to cut their hair. And female student had to wear stupid and weird clothes within 1-2 months.

But it was really cool time.

Beef Chilli Fries @Carls Jr

After went to few restaurant...and all queuing because of Valentine's day eve.
We don't celebrate valentine. Then Niko decided to eat at Carls Junior...then I ordered Chilli Fries. The taste not special, but smelled very nice.

Crab Pasta

Niko made crab pasta for our dinner after jogging.

Happy Bday, Nana!

Nana's bday is on 14th Feb 2009...so sweet. We gave her 1 Guess sling bag and 1 package of bodyshop.

Emerald Beef bowl @ Tangling mall

My favorite....It's really hard to find nice beef noodle in Singapore.

2nd day at Kluang, 8th February 2009

We woke up at 8.30am...faster brushed teeth and washed face.

Then went down to 4th floor to have breakfast. We didn't eat much. I only took the watermelon.

We walked to the yesterday evening's coffeeshop, got 1 dimsum restaurant across.

We ordered 1 siumay(3pieces), 1 hakao(3pieces), 1 eggtart, 1 chasiu pau, 1 lopuokau (3 pieces),1 chicken feet, 1 lomaikai, 1 shitake mushroom(2pieces), 1 pork cabbage, 1 tea, 1 coffee. Total was RM 22.00, so cheap....if I ate in Singapore, it would be aroung $20.00

we found taxi coincidentally not far from the restaurant. This time, the taxi was aircon...and Niko bargained RM15.00 to go to Zenxin organic park.

It was very hot day. I was thinking to walk through the canopy, but Niko was thinking something else...He rent a bicycle. Finally he said he couldn't paddle the bike cause I was too heavy...was I? :)

After that was the check out time.

We had our lunch at KFC...KFC malaysia has something different that KFC singapore don't have. The wedges with cheese...really really nice!!!

We could find something better to do. So Niko went to the same reflexiology shop to have the full body massage. And I also had my nail done.

Still nothing to do...we had our coffeebreak at Kluang Coffeerail cafe again...
This time Niko ordered brownies...nice...on rooster plate.

Then we still had 1 hour waiting at the station.
And this was the end of our holiday at Kluang.

Sunday, February 8, 2009

1st day at Kluang, 7th February 2009

Niko set his handphone alarm on 6am cause our train was on 7.40am.
We left house on 7.00am. He decided to walk from house to the KTM (Kereta Tanah Melaka) station at Tanjong Pagar. What a great decision :( ....thank you very much to your GPS...I was very happy perspiring after my morning shower :(

We reached KTM station on 7.35am but the train departed 30 minutes later than the schedule.

This was the train that we were going with. Inside was very damn cold...till niko was trembling and our feet and fingers were also cold.

We finally reached Kluang on 10.30am. Kluang Coffeerail was the first sight when you stepped on your feet at Kluang Station. It was hard to find table there. They serve malay foods like nasi lemak, mie siam, and kaya toast. We ordered 2 kaya toast (1 square and 1 bun), 1 mie siam, 1 nasi lemak, 1 coffee and 1 tea. Total were RM 5.70

After our breakfast, we walked to Prime City hotel to check the price. Then we found that Prime City Hotel is the most expensive hotel in Kluang cause the building is also the nicest. The cheapest room is RM 160.00.

So we walked back to Anika Hotel. When we talked to the receptionist, they said we never made resevation for anyroom under Niko. And they said maybe we had called Anika Inn which is not Anika Hotel.

Anika Hotel is already not nice. What about Anika Inn?!? It must be worst than this....We have to take taxi RM 10.00 to go there also. I convinced Niko that we didn't need to go there for cheaper room. Cause the difference only RM 10.00, then we had to spend it for taxi and finally got worse room than the one at Anika hotel.

This was our room, the cheapest room. RM 89.00/day. 2 single beds. Breakfast for 2 person. 2 welcome drinks. The room was not good, but it was consider clean. And the best part of all these was the toilet. I found that the bed and all the things inside the room were not as nice as the toilet. I think they just renovated it.

The monkey needed a nap before continuing the journey.

We had our lunch after that at the nearest coffeeshop which the food was not nice.

I had my fish soup. The fried fish was not so bad but the soup tasted like water.

We went back to hotel cause it wasn't easy to find taxi in Kluang. So we asked the receptionist to call taxi for us. Less than 15 minutes, a taxi came. And I think the taxi was older than my age. No air con inside... I thought that Jb's taxis were the worst taxi..then I knew which one the most. We paid RM 10.00 to go to Gunung Lambak.

We climbed the mountain for about 1 hour 30 minutes. I had given up few times..I was sure that I couldn't go to the top. But Niko always said, too bad that we came from far to here then also could not reach the top. So I tried so hard to reach the peak.
These were the moment of glory....

We took a break for 30 minutes and ate our floss bread.

We went down through the same way. My ankle was trembling and couldn't step properly. Sometime I heard sound from my left knee and I also felt something wrong. But one thing I realized when we went down...that I wore the coolest top at the area.

We went back to hotel by the same ugly taxi...And driver dropped us at the coffeeshop further from our hotel. The foods were also not nice. We ordered 2 bowls of Cha Siu Noodle for RM 6.00

On the way back, Niko decided to have foot massage...really cheap. RM 33.00 for one person/ hour.
I chose chinese herbal and Niko chose crystal milk. After that, we felt very relax. Then we went back to hotel to take shower.

And this was the end of our 1st day at Kluang.

Yippieee....holiday to Kluang

After going thru a week in sickness...more likely I was stress. Niko was agree to go to Kluang first. Initially we would go there by the end of the month.

I asked Grace's help to buy 2 tickets the earliest shuttle from Singapore to Kluang on 7th Feb 2009.
$16.00 each.

I was so excited, so I packed my things very early.

Few pieces of our wedding pictures.

Happy Bday, Yoon!

My senior designer had her b'day on 3rd February 2009. We gave her a set of cooking pans. We chose Germany brand, WMF.

She said those are what she wanted for her new house. BTW she will be moving to her new house soon.

Nike sale at Expo 5th-7th February 2009

My colleagues wanted to go to expo. We just wanted to see if there's anything nice there.

When we reached hall 6, the queue was 10 meters long. Within less than 10 minutes the door was opened for us.

Inside there's another queue to go inside the exhibition area. Total was more than 25 meters long.

Finally there were only 2 persons who ended up without buying anything. One of them were me.
I couldn't find something nice there and there were too many people. You almost couldn't choose the things. Couldn't see the things properly.

Paying also needed to queue about another 10 meters.

People there were buying expensive discounted Nike's things which were still expensive during economic crisis. Some bought the things more than $300 of course. Cause at least they bought 2 pairs of shoes and clothings.

Hotpot Rice at Tiongbahru Plaza's Kopitiam

Last Sunday Niko and I had our lunch at Tiongbahru Plaza after that he wanted to go playing badminton.
Actually that day I wanted to order fish soup, but seemed that the hotpot rice was more tempting.
After the rice was ready for me, It was not the same like in the photo :( and the taste was also disapointing.

Pasta again for dinner.

Pasta again...what to say? It was the chef's decision. I just follow.
For this time he added grilled teriyaki chicken wings.

The famous Tiongbahru Fried Kwetiau@Tiongbahru Market

This is the famous Tiongbahru Fried Kwetiau @Tiongbahru Market. You can get it for $2.00 or $3.00.
They always close at Tuesday.
Be careful cause there are 2 stalls are selling fried kwetiau. The original is the one with yellow fascia...and another one with orange fascia is more to the oyster omelette.

And at Tiongbahru fried kwetiau, there's always a limp skinny uncle with white shirts who is delivering foods.

Sweedish meatball @IKEA, Tampines

I heard most people said that Ikea's sweedish meatball is nice... Finally I got chance to try it after 2 years in Singapore.

After I tried, I think people just exaggerated it.

Golden Mushroom with Beef

Few days ago, Niko tried to make Enoki (golden mushroom) with beef. At the end, I was the one who wrapped the enoki with beef because he went jogging...so selfish.

I want a dog

Something is missing in my life. A dog....
I want a dog...
She can cheer me up...can play with me also...hiks!!!
