Running form

I have been running lately after my sundown. I run 2 to 3 times within a week. The knee pain comes back again because of my wrong running form. I landed with heels that injured my knee cap. http://www.newtonrunning.com/run-better/optimal-running-form I need to change my running form but to change it, I need to see me running. Like if you are doing aerobic or any kind of dancing, normally the room has mirror so you can see whether you are following the instructor correctly and most importantly is your posture.

My end year target

It had been a more than 6 months i never ran till last week Sun Down 10 km race. There are few things encorage me to actively run again recently.

Most important thing is because there's a huge difference interms of physical appearance between 5 years ago n now. Face shape has changed as well.

When I am running, I normally do not think of anything. I just focus on my running rythm.

Constantly running will make me not easily tired. I remember few months ago when I hardly have time to so other things, I felt very tired and I always wanted to sleep.

As I like to eat nice food and my portion is not small, hopefully I can be consistant in running as part of my lifestyle to be healthy and maintain the body size.

Sun Down Marathon 2012

I was forced to join this run race by Niko. I only trained once 2 days before the race. I could still feel the musle pain because of the last minute training during the race. We started 7 minutes later from the gun time. At the first 100 meter we could still run together. After that, he went first leaving me behind with my turtle speed. The first kilometer is always tough...the subsequent km was better with the body has been warmed up n the so called engine has run in higher gear. I enjoyed the first 6 km. Then the route led us to a narrow bridge where we spent a lot of time for queueing to pass the bridge. After the bridge was the dark n narrow path beside Kallang river. I think that was the worst part. Many of them,including me, just walked. If I want to take over, it's a bit difficult tough. So I took the opportunity to rest hoping that the next km I would be able to run. The end of this dark narrow path was a staircase leading to Geylang road..OMG. I almost fell, lost balance, when I climbed the staircase. I guess it was because we use different musle when we run. Then suddenly the body needs to switch using different muscle. I also don't like the Geylang route. They only provide 1 lane for the race. It ended the same as the narrow path, difficult to take over. So I walked again...sigh..waisting time. Another thing on Geylang is there are many vehicles. I can feel the different in cleanliness of the air. Finally we turned to nicholl highway again, indicating thay we were almost near the end. The sign showed "8km". The last 2 km was better. Niko had just finished when I was in Nicholl highway and he was waiting for me near the finish line. I finished with in 1 hour 33minute gun time. He finished 15 minutes earlier than me. I guess my timing wouldn't be that bad if the route was not that narrow dark path n the stupid bridge. I need to blame my self on not trained properly before the race. I went home with few blisters on my feet, a medal,n hungry stomach. I am looking forward to join standchart or great eastern end of this year.

Knocking n drilling sound

We heard knocking n drilling sound quite loud from upstairs and it is 10.30 pm. So Niko decided to go up n talk to our neighbour. There's another thing we want to let them know regarding dragging heavy furniture in the middle of the night.

Infact, the 13th level neighbour said they are not doing anything related to knocking or drilling. They said they have baby also. The blame passes to upstairs but not sure which level.

We went up to see level 14. It's chinese house, it looked ok. Then we when level 15. It looked like being occupied by Malay or Indian, definitely not chinese. Level 16, the atmosphere was a bit different,a bit scary. Even the corridor layout is the same like our floor, but the ambience was cold. Not like it was resided by family. Niko felt the same way as i did. I tend to keep it myself and normally he is the one telling what he felt first.

Until now, the knocking sound is still happening. Who the hell is this stupid neighbour?

Samsung Galaxy Note

I waited this phone for months. Finally when it was launched in Singapore, I immediately went to Singtel shop to see the physical phone. Weeks later, i have it as my early birthday gift from Niko and it also replaced my stupid Samsung Galaxy Spica.

I became more connected with my friends and the world because of the data plan (it is also part of the gift). I also found new feature in Samsung and Android interface and I love it. Compare with my previous phone, the processor is definitely faster, it is so responsive and the sensor is more sensitive.

Perfect Bday Party

It was just coincident to see these photos while I was doing my research on my exhibition job. I think these photo is a great ambiance to have bday party there, on the yatch.

Other than bday party, I think it is a great place to throw new year party, as long as you don't drink till drunk and throw your self in the water. If you need to vomit, just throw in the sea. Rental cost for the yatch is 100-150K euro/week. Sounds good if you are rich enough to enjoy 5 days trip and have party every night on the sea. However, the people you are spending time celebrating your bday party is more important than the kind of place and kind of party you have for your bday. :)
