Aquarium Hobby

I kept watching aquarium video in youtube. I had been thinking whether I should get one last year for months. Finally I got it on December. I bought a second hand tank from Carousell for $10. After my December trip, I started to plant the scape. It took 2 weeks for the plants to be ready. I filled the tank with water on 3rd week.

Got the fish on that week too. I bought 6 guppies, 2 males and 4 females. The 5 of them died in 1st week. WTF. Left me with 1 female. I bought 3 shrimps. The shrimps ate one type of plants till no more leaves. After the plants no more, 1 shrimp died.

1 fish and 2 shrimps were good and stable. Till one day 1 shrimp died. This shrimp didn't eat the pellet I dropped. Only 1 shrimp eats it. Sigh....

This female guppy was in fact pregnant. She gave birth to 11 fries. 1 died because sucked into filter. I saw it stucked on the filter sponge. I left 10 fries on the tank. Next day I saw why left 8 fries. The mummy ate 2 of the fries. Grrr...... I made isolation tank using plastic jar and clip it on the tank. That's what we called creative.


The fries had been eating well for a week. They showed colour on their rear fin. One day, I changed water. Normally I change 50%. This time, I change 85%. The next day, 5 fries found dead on the bottom of the isolation jar. WTF. Now I only have 3 fries. I hope they are ok will next week. I plan to remove the isolation jar.


Today, I bought 2 neon tetra. Seems like these 2 are confused in the new environment. My shrimp also keep hiding inside the sponge bob house. I don't know what's wrong....

After I take a look closer today, I should have bought algae eater instead of neon tetras. I have thick algae on my tank. Mostly they are on the LED clip, glass wall and the sponge bob house. The algae even grow on the leaves.

Kuishinbo Company Lunch 19th February 2019

It was express lunch 1 hour. The seafood was very limited and without snow crab. Taste wise was ok. I like the tuna sashimi.

Early 37th Birthday Lunch with My Mother

I went to Waterway Point to meet a Banker from UOB on 11am. Then we went to have lunch at Dian Xiao Er. I ordered seafood seaweed tofu and one small portion of angelica herb duck.

Shoes Fetish Continues....

Knowing myself...I have weird habit of buying shoes. I don't know why. They seem like never get enough. Up to date, I have 30 over pairs.
The recent ones are cheap pairs.

Meeting with Satrio, 21th February 2019

That Thursday, I don't know why I just want to dress more proper. Before lunch, I got a message from Satrio asking me whether I had time in the evening. Of course I will make time for my old friend. So I made a reservation for us at Ion, Imperial Treasure. The food was fantastic. The ambient was very nice.

It was really good to finally meet an old friend. I still remember vividly he was sitting beside me and asked me to share exam answers during 2nd year of high school. First year of high school, I visited him on hospital because he was involved in a fight. He almost lost his life. I went to visit also partially he was in RS with my good friend. During 3rd year of high school, he and I double dated. He was in RS with one of my friend. I was in RS with a medanese. He and my ex bf are medanese. There are nothing better compare to high school friends.

TWG 1837 Black Tea

I got 2 packs of this black tea from my friend. :) I was never a fan of TWG. Unexpectedly, the tea is v fragrant, I can smell got the citrus infuse. I may consider to buy in the future. I cotton bag can be brewed 2 times.

Rong Hua BKT at Waterway Point

I went alone on Saturday and had lunch there. I think it's going to be my last visit. The pork was so smelly. You know...that kind of not fresh smell. They gave me the one full of fats. One bowl of BKT, one bowl of rice and 1 cakwe costed me $12.90. I may want to get other food with the amount of spending.

My First Gold Bangle

I was walking at Waterway Point where they have exhibition booth at the atrium. I went to see what I had been looking for since last year, a gold bangle. I found one I was looking for. I think it's a good bargain, no GST, no workmanship fee. Just pay for the gold.

My Fragile Heart

Those people who know me, they normally say I am strong and hard person. From the way I phrase things and act in situation, yes...I am a strong character. I will not die and give up when you give me problems. I may be down for a while and eventually stand up back on my feet. I love myself to be seen like this.

I don't know why I have such character. People normally appear differently from what they really are....

I guess to be selective on who you allow to enter when you know you have fragile heart is utmost important. Stop blaming other people, take control of your life.

Marco's First Visit to USS 17th February 2019

My dearest friend gave me 2 season passes for Marco and me. We can visit USS for 6 months unlimited. Yey!

Marco's Birthday Celebration 15th February 2019

Marco requested a birthday party since December 2018. The theme he chose himself is transformer. I bought for him an Optimus Prime full suit with the mask and sword. The mask and sword can light up. His birthday cake also a transformer one. He asked an orange bicycle for his birthday too.

Emotional Attachment

Emotional attachment is a bond of feelings created when you are very close to someone. When you feel compatible when you talk to someone and the intense frequency of conversation, it will eventually build emotional attachment. Unfortunately some attachments are meant to be temporary because of whatever reasons.

I was thinking I had been successfully suppressing my emotion as I normally feel nothing. Today I feel emotionally unwell. Knowing this, I am also glad to know I still have emotion. That's the positive side looking at this occasion. People come and go with different agenda. Some have negative agenda, some have positive agenda. But in certain scenarios, there is definitely one losing party. People are so selfish by ignoring the damage created to the other losing party.

Magically, this emotional attachment can happen without face to face encounter. I just discovered and I am amazed of how it was built in a short period of time. I learned something new at least.

I actually foresee consequences come because of my action. Therefore, I don't blame people because of my action that put me in undesirable situation. I believe I am a strong person and I will overcome the obstacles in my live journey.



Still related to emotional attachment issue, I read statement somewhere...

I found this is a bit funny to be said by a guy. This is more suitable to be said by a girl. The first few second impression, the speaker positions himself as a passive person because he doesn't do anything, he just waits and sees what the other will do. Then the "somebody" is the active person. In contrary to the statement, I am believer of men to be the active aggressive party and women to be the passive party. Further, I believe when you want something or someone, you can't just sit down, watch and never show interest to achieve. Because if you do, it forever won't be yours,imo.

Jogging Routine 2019

All my jogging sessions will end at the same spot. That junction. I put my camera on the ledge then I do the stretching and cooling down there.

Getting Old

Recently physically I get easily tired. My eyes turn red and watery. I picked up jogging again recently to fight the lethargic feeling and aging process.


I have many grey hairs. Sadly but true. I am considering to dye my hair brown. It has been 10 years I never dye my hair. I think this time it can't be helped anymore.

Marco's First Swimming Lesson 10th Feb 2019

I had been telling him that after CNY, he would start his swimming lesson. He seemed not so excited. But he had no choice. :)

Beside the pool, he asked me "mummy, what if the girls laugh at me?". I said "Every body is learning here. No one will laugh at you." He seems very concern about his self image.

Then after swimming, I asked him again how the session was. He said great. I am glad he enjoys his lesson.

CNY 2019 Holiday

This year I had 1 week force leaves. Sigh... I don't like CNY. So I planned to paint my common room and had steamboat at home. Fortunately Menongk came and stayed at my place. I cycled with her to Punggol Waterway Point. There were couple of nights where we chatted and drank. It was like reminiscing our Uni time where we used to hang out together.
