Christmas, 25th December 2020

I planned for hiking on Christmas day. It's to introduce MG to nature. He had not been here before. 

We woke up on 6am. Went out from home at 6.40am (which I think it was not bad to get ready in 40 mins). Brought our water and snacks.

He was excited at the beginning and once we reached Henderson Waves bridge, he complained a lot because he was tired.

We ended our journey at Hort Park and took bus to Clark Quay MRT. We dropped by to Kiddy Palace Punggol WaterWay Point first to buy MG's Christmas present. He wanted a Nerf Gun. 

We went home. First thing to do was wash hand and wash feet. Ate our lunch and shower. After shower, we took our Christmas pictures. 

It's time for MG to unbox his present.

We just dined at home. It's platter for MG. I don't like fried food. But we did this for MG. He said the dinner was nice.

National Museum of Singapore, 22 November 2020

January next year, Marco will be going to P1 already. This end of the year, I use my leave days to bring him around Museums in Singapore. He said he was quite happy going to Museums. 

There is Doraemon exhibition at the National Museum also. It was quite fun to see Doraemon at the museum.  There is a part of temporary immersive exhibition by TeamLab. 

I think the exhibits are presented very well. They are on par with museums in Europe. I feel glad to revisit the museums again and it looks different from 10 years ago.

 I got bored with home-cooked food. I occasionally prefer to eat instant noodle. It is not bad dish if we up the game by putting additioanl protein and vegetable on top of it.

Tai Dong Teo Chew Duck Rice @ Sims Village Market

 This also has queue during lunch. Unfortunately they don't have the braised taupok. But they have braised peanut. So I ordered peanut with additional egg. It comes with separate plate of braised duck, garnished with coriander leaves. It was very filling and satisfying.

Sushi Express @ Tampines One, 13 December 2020

 After going to Changi Airpot playing the bounce castle and TokiDoki Snow Holiday, we went to Tampines One to have early dinner.

 Marco came back on Sunday with a story about Changi Airport. He wanted to go again on Sunday because yesterday was fully booked.

I agreed to go Changi Airport and accompanied him to play. He was so brave to just enter alone without me accompanying him.

The TokiDoki Snow area is actually a cold room with snow. I let him go in alone as we only had 1 ticket for him. Only children above 7 years old can enter alone. So I lied to the counter staff by saying he was almost 8 years old. As he is tall, I think it still makes sense. He was so brave alone in the room and just enjoying himself.

I am glad that Marco is a very confident boy. He doesn't feel worry being alone in a foreign place. This already showed when he was 9month old. He enrolled to baby gym class. He never cried in the class and seemed very enjoying the process. He entered pre-school also, we never accompanied him on first day. He straight away went alone by himself. At least I can rest assure he is a very independent boy. He has to because he is the only child, like me.
