Warung Ayam Betutu Ibu Oki @ Nusa Dua

I think we just felt tired of paying tourist price while we are Indonesian.

So we decided to try near by warung Ibu Oki selling ayam betutu. The warung is just opposite hotel santika.

The mix rice was so good. They also have 2 option for spicy and non spicy.

While eating, I saw some of local workers bought the take away rice. They paid Rp10k a package.
Eventually, we paid Rp.20K for a plate of rice because it may be different amount of ingredient or just tourist price.

But Rp.46K for 2 plate of ayam betutu rice, 4 satay, and 2 ice tea is not expensive in local point of view.

To be very honest, I think ayam betutu Ibu Oki is more value for money and tasted better compare to Pak dobiel's even though I am not comparing apple to apple.

We will sure come back to this place to have our lunch or dinner next time.

Babi Guling Pak Dobiel @ Nusa Dua

I think this is the most regretted place we have gone. There are plus points and there are minus points also.

Let me tell you on my perspective.

The plus points are:
- the taste was nice.
- the soup was nice.

The minus points are:
- the portion was little
- the satay full of fats
- not hygienic because they use hand to serve the food
- the price is not stated

I asked one of the old man to calculate my order as I wanted pay. He like calculate anyhow and end up he rounded the total bill to Rp100K for 2 plates of mix rice, 4 pieces of satay, 2 teh botol, 1 aqua, 1 soup, and 1 cracker. To be honest as domestic tourist, I feel cheated. I know there's another queue for local people with different price.

I will not come back to this place if there's other option for my lunch. I was just wondering about this place as my friend said pak dobiel's is nicer than Ibu Oka's. I conclude that I stick with Ibu Oka as I paid what I ordered and before I ordered they stated the price in the menu. So it was an informed decision.

Mercure Hotel @ Nusa Dua

The reason we chose this hotel because it's cheap. We paid around $46 pernight. From the photo, the room looks spacious. However when we reached there, the room is not so big.

The service was good. We got the warm towel and the welcome drink as per normal hotel would do.



On Saturday when Niko went out to Ronald's place to be the brother, I didn't feel like going out as it was so hot outside and I tend to make wrong decision when I am alone.
So I order lunch from room service, Wagyu beef burger for Rp60K. The final bill was Rp.72K. The burger was filling and the taste and presentation was good.

Bebek Tepi Sawah @ Ubud

We finally got to try the crispy duck. The place was fantastic. We chose the hut which has lesehan seat. it faced the rice field. The atmosphere was perfect.


I like the chili. They served 3 kind of chili which I think all of them were really good.


The young coconuts were also just nice. Soft and sweet.


The crispy duck was perfect. I ate the bone also because certain part was edible. The satay was good also. Niko ordered bebek betutu and he said it was good.


Total bill was Rp.360.000,- which I think I really satisfied with the food and the ambience.

Everytime we go Bali, sure must visit this place.
