Viet Express @ China Square
We went to eat authentic Vietnamnese food yesterday at China Square, China town.
It's better than the one in Joo Chiat. The portion is damn big comes with a bit pricey.
We ordered spring rolls , beef with vermicelli, and beef soup with beef bowl. The beef with vermicelli is good and rich of taste. The beef soup is good. The photo shows the beef is cooked in good timing. They are still red but slowly cooked when you eat. The taste is authentic like the one we ate in Hanoi. I still prefer the one at Sedap Corner Simpang Bedok which has been modified to our Singapore taste bud.
1 portion of spring rool (4 pieces), 1 beef with vermicelli, 1 beef bowl soup (pho bo), and 1 avocado juice cost us S$40.
Victor's Kitchen @Sun Shine Plaza
Niko actually wanted us to go here long time already. But I remember I always found reason not to go here.
We finally went there with my mother and my aunty. The q was long. Inside, the tables are tightly arranged. So 1 small shop can fit 80 people surprisingly.
All the menu I feel is just normal except for the egg yolk lava bun. 1 rattan basket contains 3 bun, they are super good when you eat hot.
other food worth to try are pan fried chiong fen, and the lo mai kai.
Running Apparel Sale
After having lunch, Niko and I went to Lion Building near MacPherson MRT. I didn't plan anything though...But after I saw the price of 2XU compression shirt, it's only $39. I immediately tried to find my size.
The pant left only for XXS which obviously not my size. So I moved to "lesser discount" corner. I found my size for the normal compression pants.
I bought 2 pairs of shocks for $10 (another damage T.T). I kept waiting for Niko, he was on the phone with a friend who wanted to buy 2XU also. Too long waiting for him, I saw a pair of Newton shoes which I wanted to buy long time ago at Velocity. Now selling for $49 for old model and $79 for current model.
I don't mind to wear old model but my size was sold out. So no choice I had to buy new model for $30 more expensive. Again...another impulsive buying.
